I admire sooo much those who devote their time to helping others. I volunteered for a semester with the children's program of our local domestic abuse shelter. It felt wonderful to give back to my community, although at times it was heartbreaking. I am no longer doing any volunteer work and that's why I appreciate those who are. But I hope to do so again sometime in the near future when life becomes a little less hectic...when is that!?!
