I say no too, but I do know what you mean. TX must get very hot. I live in upper NW MI, and I am thinking of cutting William's hair too. He is also almost a year and a half, and he has never had a haircut either, except trims. I LOVE his long hair, but it doesn't stay nice except for right after a bath, like you said. I am getting a book to learn how to groom him myself, and he may just get a trim, I'm not sure yet. But I would be just like you, nervous and anxious about cutting all his beautiful hair off.
