A lot of people choose to go with shorter cuts with soft-coated yorkies. They really do matt up easily and everything sticks to them when you go outside! My parents always kept Rylie really short when they had him. The soft coats are so much more work to keep tangle-free than silky coats. Lacy hardly tangles ever
