Lacy's face is kindof shorter-medium length, and Rylie's is really starting get long now and their faces never get wet when they drink. Just barely wet around their lips. and I just use plain stainless steel bowls. The only time their faces really get wet is when we go outside and the ground is really wet. They do make special bowls for long-haired dogs too...Ladymom posted a link once. It has a smaller hole in the middle of the bowl so they just get part of their muzzle & tongue in but keeps the long hair out and dry
