That tattoo sounds exciting. Just beware...when you get a foot tattoo you won't be able to wear a shoe over it until the tattoo heals. I have had my foot tattoo now for two months and just recently have been able to put on a shoe! Good thing it was flip flop weather altho my toes got a tad nippy on some days! I think my artist went a little deep and I may have had a red ink reaction as well. I love my tattoo and it was worth everything I went thru but it was pretty tough there for awhile...and getting it was VERY painful on top of my foot. I got a large tattoo on my shoulder and it was a breeze compared to the top of the foot! The top of the foot took maybe 45 minutes compared to three hours on the shoulder! Also my artist did not recommend the tattoo go from the top of the foot and across the ankle...he said the bend of the ankle is sometimes hard to heal. Mine was small so top of the foot alone was not a problem. I would like to get Oscar's paw print on the back of my right calf as that is where he always bounces off the back of my leg when he wants something!
