It is because the material is very hard to find and expensive... (I just found out the place where I bought it has it out of stock!! I am glad I bought a big bunch when I got the material for poosdarling) it is about 30.00 a yard, plus shipping... and this beds take quite a bit of material... of each fabric!! The other faux fur fabrics I have are available at local fabric stores, and are not that pricy.
