Yorkies are supposed to be hypoallergenic dogs...but i'm sure a few percentage of people may still be allergic. My sister in fact gets allergy symptoms whenever she is around my dog too long. She has a dog of her own (not a yorkie) but is fine.
Claritin works for her for her indoor allergies. And also making sure there is good ventilation in the house. If the dander is just staying in the house, then the symptoms may last longer. Vacuuming several times a day can help too.
