Our couch came with cushions that have elastic straps that has snaps on it, and attaches to another elastic strap that is hooked into the couch back. Our couch is only 2 years old...but we've never had a problem with the cushions sliding You might try that?
I might have to look into something like this.. if I can hook it right into the back frame it may work. But I have to straps to do it.

I saw some people recommend putting the velcro on with a glue gun or stiching as well. i might try this first. However I want a sheet of velcro instead of the strips. The strips just don't work too well and are hard to line up.

How about that (can't think of the name) stuff you line drawers with (kind of a rubbery roll of stuff with holes in it) they also use it as place mats so the dishes don't slide. I put it under my doggy stairs because we have hardwood floors and the stairs kept sliding and it worked there. Sorry I don't know what it's called.
I've tried this. I actually have the stronger one that you use in toolbox liners. It didn't help much. It started sliding off as well.

This has been the couch from hell.. haha
