I purchased Baby in early March. She had a well check the next day and she was perfect. By the next day her left eye became squinty. The following day she could not open it. I used a clean wash cloth to clean it up so I could see what was going on. It was blood shot, the lid was bright red, and there was a large amount of gunk in it.
I had her to my vet of 15 years later that morning and he gave her eye drops, ear drops, and a shot of coenzyme Q-10 for a booster. She was at 2lbs 5ounce.
It cleared up in two day. As soon as the meds were gone, we were right back where we started. This time I rushed her to the er. A different vet gave her two shots, and stronger eyedrops. Again cleared up in two day.
As soon as the meds were gone, we were again back to the beginning. This time I was informed she had some damage to her left eye. He gave her more drops, and this time an orral antibiotic thinking it was a severe bacterial infection.
Well here I am today, her meds ran out two days ago, and she is again squinting. I am extreamly worried about her. I don't want her to have to go through life blind in one eye. If any body has ever heard of any of these symptoms before please send me a message, either here or on my page.
I am five hundred dollars into this, but have had no results. When I go to the vets tomorrow I would like to have a little info from others to help.
