Hi all,

We have a female yorkie (Ava) who is 18 months old and has a variety of skin and hair issues. I will attempt to describe:

Most notably her hair gets greasy, and looks like straw after a couple of days from last bath, and if you look in her bed where she sleeps, it is very dirty all the time. She does not get this dirt from being outside, she just seems to get dirty somehow...

Second when she lays against your skin, she is sooooo hot to the touch, it actually feels like she is burning you. Also she has a funny smell to her, almost like a wheat smell, and if she was still on grain food, I could understand this.

Constantly she is scratching through out the day and is chewing on her fur, which has become very thin.

The odd thing is we have a male from the same litter, and he is just fine, no problems at all...

We have had her on antibiotics for her sores when they have become infected, and a host of other medications. The current medication is Atopica from the vet, been on it for about a month, no better.

We changed her food to "Core Wellness, Original Formula, Grain Free)..she has been on this for 3 months at least, not better...

I would really appreciate any help that everyone's experience could give us on this, since nothing seems to be working at all...
