Wishing you the best of luck. I've never heard of a vet that wouldn't assist a sick animal, payment or not. Be sure the vet understands that you have a very limited budget, and they should take any treatment one step at a time.
Since it is almost Sunday, I would suggest waiting until Monday for the vet. Off hour consultations are very expensive. Do you have him on as bland a diet as possible? Rice, baby food chicken meat, lots of water (put a little Karo syrup in the water to make it more attractive to him and so he will drink it and not get dehydrated.)
