Most breeders won't pay for the operation. They tend to replace the pup or refund what you paid them for the pup. Disgusting of that breeder being a vet to not perform the surgery or get another vet to help with that end at a reduced cost.

Either way getting another dog for you wouldn't be right anyhow as you have said you don't have the time to care for this one.
