Because it was a small grill, it had a small firebox on the side. The box was so small, there wasn't much room under the fire grate. The ash quickly fills up the small space under the grate preventing the flow of fresh air and thus over dampening the fire. In addition, the wall of the box prevents ash sweeping as long as there is a fire.
Do you see your grill exhibiting any of the above failings? I trust you'll be honest with me to report your grill's shortcomings?
You're going to love mesquite chicken. Even if you dry up the chicken, it's amazing and you can claim you meant to do it. |
I have had this one for about a month and it is VERY solid. The cooking area is 1200 square inches! That's a lot of meat LOL The side box on it very good size. Mine came with a set of grills for the side box where you keep the fire and the ashes fall down below. I just clean it out before every time using it. I would not hesitate to buy another one again. The things about 80lbs. Not light at all.
