I feed Innova and have been happy with that. Innova, Candiae, Wellness, some of the better foods may have to be bought at a specialty pet store (just don't buy products at a store where they sell pets, unless it's for a rescue.)
Most of the company websites can tell you where the closest place is to buy the food - it may even be a holistic or acupuncture vet office. Some folks do buy it online like at

If you chose Solid Gold or Natural Balance - Petco has these. They just started selling Solid Gold a few mths ago
I would really go the sample route first. You won't believe how generous some of the companies are -- I have 2 that will eat anything & the samples kept me in food for a couple mths
