Hi and welcome. When I had Hot Rod in his crate, he would cry too. I read that putting clock that ticks closeby sounds like a mothers heartbeat. I would a radio on during the day when I went out. Do you have a cover for his crate? Maybe that might help some. Just be patient, he will learn to sleep a little longer thru the night. Good luck.
