I think Prolinker meant that about the person that kept the money, not Chrissy. Saying she is ruining her reputation over $10.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I've been scammed and for me the worst part was it made me doubt the honesty of anyone asking for help. I've gotten over it but now I look at any money I lend as gone and if I do get it back...or if donated it goes where it's supposed to...it's a bonus. A little cynical but that way I'm not so disappointed.
