Sorry that happened to you. You have tried to resolve it with this person, right? I just always err on the side of caution as I know how situations can sometimes not be what they appear.
And if you think I am ridiculously optimistic, we have been scammed two times in the last few months - once for $160 (typical scam) and once for $40(outrageous can't-believe-that-happened scam). Us, the careful, dot your i's and cross your t's people!! But we don't really spend too much time lamenting over it. Lessons learned, and we move on. The hubby and I actually joke about it.
Someone at work sent me a joke email that they thought would comfort me. It included "
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably a wise investment." I laughed and moved on. I understand your desire to warn others, but try not to spend too much energy on being angry.
