There is a lot that goes into figuring out the price. First Quality of the pup and Quality both parents and the pedigree. Considered when trying to price - how much did I pay for the mom. How much did I pay for stud service, and what is the quality of the sire. I do not charge more for smaller puppies. You really can't price when they are younger.
Just before my pups go to their new homes I now pay myself for spay/neuter (if sold as a pet) - done before they leave, all shots up to 5 months, microchiping, and health certificate. I also include a small bag of the food I am feeding, toy and small mat. I also pay for the litter AKC papers, but the new owner will have to pay the 20.00 to register the puppy in their name. I do not have litters that often and only breed to get a show hopeful. A lot of research goes into everything before i breed and I try to produce the best pups possible.
