this is how I was taught to tape ears. First make sure the ears are clean and shaved. I use masking tape. There is a little preparation first. Cut a strip of masking tape that will wrap around the ear about 2 times..about 4 inches... Lay it on a table tape side up. Cut a piece of masking tape about 1/2 inch long.. about 1 inch from one end of the long tape, place the 1/2 inch piece tape side DOWN This will prevent the tape from sticking to the entire ear and making it easier to get off. Now have someone help you, but pick up the long piece of tape and have someone fold the ear together length wise place the tape on the ear starting at the back.. place it so the section that has the 1/2 inch piece of tape on it is on the back of the ear. wrap the rest of the tape around the ear keeping the ear folded up to a point at top. Do the same for the other ear. Then cut a long piece of tape and have someone hold the ears straight up and tape from one ear to the other leaving a space in between. Wrap this tape two or three times. You will have both ears straight up and a section of tape in between holding them in place. remove carefully once a week by sliding a pair of scissors between the tape and the ear in the back where the non sticky part is. Be careful not to cut the ear. It should come off easily. Leave off for a few hours and if the ears aren't standing do it again for another week.
