I aggree with Patti. Eventually you may be able to close the crate door as well so your mother can sleep better.

I think you should cut off the water early in the evening too and make sure you let her out to empty her bladder before bed so that you don't have to get up through the night.

Little Dim Sum is able to sleep through the night without going to the bathroom. When I get up in the morning he will run around a bit to show how happy he is to see me and then when I let him out he will do his 1 and 2 before breakfast.

However if you do move the crate away from the bed she might start to make noise. You may have to put up with that for a few nights until she gets use to it.
