I have a similar story....when I got my yorkie about 3 months ago, one of my co-workers looked at me and said,..."omg! Do you have any idea how much work a dog is?....have you seriously thought this through?.....it is a huge responsibility!" I said yes I have and have wanted one of these dogs since I was 8 yrs old and now is the perfect time in my life for a puppy. She even went as far as to tell me that a puppy/dog was more work than a child, of which she has 3. LOL!!!!
My mouth hit the floor and I said, really?....is that what you really think? She said yes and I even jokingly told her husband about her comment. He laughed and said she was out of her mind. Anyway, I only have one puppy and people ALWAYS have comments about everything. Like someone else stated, your family has your best interest in mind, but only you know what you are up for and can handle. Best of luck to you and your new furbaby!!!
