I had one yorkie puppy with this problem about 12 years ago. Its called a cherry eye. Its not always genetic and can be caused by dirt or some kind of infection or injury. It is very common in bull dogs, pugs, basset hounds and other big eyed breeds. It is very easy to fix and my vet only charged about 60.00. They are somethimes harder to fix in the bigger breed with this problem.
