I made one years ago, using hubby's torn and too small t-shirts. I laid them all out on the floor and cut them into the same size blocks. Then, I just sewed the fronts together for the top and the backs together for the backing. I tacked it together without batting and hemmed the edges together. When the g-kids are lounging around, that's the first "covers" they go for.
My g-daughter brought me dozens of her cheerleading t-shirts to make. That's about the third task down on my list. I'm going to cut the shirts into blocks and put strips of fabric between these shirt blocks.
