This stuff is so scary...all the more reason for me to get a German Shepherd. Right now I bring the puppies downstairs into the living room/foyer and let people into the house. However, I've only had 2 people here at this point. Both were families and everything went well.

Once I move into my house at the end of May, the set-up will be much better. Puppies will be in the downstairs area (it's a split foyer with 2 finished rooms downstairs), and when people come to look at puppies I will have them go upstairs into the living room/kitchen area.

However, I don't let just anybody in the house that calls. I try to get to know people first, have them fill out the adoption questionnaire, check references, etc. I know there's only so much you can do though, it's sad that we have to feel like this...
