 Weechee wont eat much after surgery
I am new to this site, but am hopin I can get some advice. My 1.3 year old male Yorkie, Weechee, had an accident the other night. He fell off the couch and broke his rear femur. Two days ago he had surgery and had pins put in his leg. I am officially broke, but its worth it for my baby, hehe. Anyway, he came home yesterday and is in good spirits, but obviously resting a lot. My main concern is that he isn't eating very much. Last night I could get him to eat a little bit of food, but only out of my hand.
I expected this morning to be better, but he ate even less than last night. I just gave him his pain meds, and figure I will let him rest a bit and try again in an hour or two.
Has anyone else experienced this after surgery? Should I be worried yet?
