To register a whole litter with AKC - it is only 25.00. I guess AKC is higher because - it also pays for the representatives to check conditions of where dogs are kept, check breeders paperwork, etc... That has to count for something. I prefer to go with a registry where they check breeders. It is still very resonable - IMO. I also enjoy showing. P.S Sometimes you can get a coupon and get 10.00 off.
