What concerns me most is that Enalapril is given for High Blood Pressure and Congestive Heart Failure - so I'm not sure what line of thinking your vet has here...
I can't tell you more at this time because it was my wife that took her. She had never had any episode of this type whatever before Sunday and now she is much better although I hear an occasional snort out of her but it isn't labored or continuous. To put it simply, she seems about 90% better than last night but not completely over it. I'm baffled by the sudden onset of symptoms with no previous history and then the rapid recovery from them. That's why my question of can irritants produce these symptoms. When she was at her worst Monday night, I could hear congestion and she also had a fever for a while but now she's resting comfortably with only an occasional weak snort sound. My biggest concern, too, is the medication she was given if she was mis-diagnosed.
