What are your thoughts so far?
I'm a little more judgemental than I usually am this week.
Seyesha...I could definetly see her on Broadway in the future. If The Color Purple was still playing I could easily have seen her in the lead part.
Jason....yeah. No. Sorry to his fans, but I was in pain.
Brooke...meh. Not bad. I'm a fan of her's, but I'm not overwhelmed.
David...nicely done. It took me a minute to get over the shock of him changing that song...but I thought he really did a good job with it. people comment a lot on how he's exactly what you hear on the radio as if its a bad thing. I would think its a good thing - he's got what it takes to get his music played.
I'd just like to point something out. Simon would always use having "a 'Broadway voice'" as an insult. These people - who are otherwise amazing singers - seem to be having a problem singing Broadway music.
