It depends - can you provide more info about what he told you w/ the heart? I used to work in human cardio. There are certain "heart blocks" (laymens terms) that are very obvious via stethoscope - where the pattern repeats itself - and drops a beat, in pattern. OR, did he hear a slow beat (bradycardia) or fast beat (tachycardia)???
Depending on what you say...I dunno...if it were me I'd probably still want an ECG - and a MUCH better explanation.
What concerns me most is that Enalapril is given for High Blood Pressure and Congestive Heart Failure - so I'm not sure what line of thinking your vet has here...
