Probably because both of them are a lot bigger than Sampson.
Sampson's Mommy is returning next week and I would like to start my "quest" for a healthy puppy from a reputable source (no pet stores or puppy mills!).
Would appreciate anyone sharing their experiences and/or recommendations. I realize that Yorkies tend to be a bit pricey, from what I can see. I am not looking to breed and would happily settle for a healthy companion rather than a prize-winner!
Would also appreciate any guidence regarding gender. Are males "better" than females? My experience with little Sampson has really changed this "cat" man into a Yorkie-man. He is incredibly affectionate!
Thanks

Welcome. I think as far as males & females it's just preference. We've had 3 yorkies soon to be 4 and so far we have had 2 of each. I can tell you this in my experience, Yorkies are one of the easiest by far at housebreaking. I do have a male puppy available but, I live in GA. My son lives in DE and he found a breeder I think somewhere in Philly not absolutely sure and he did't pay a great deal for him if I remember correctly he was $500 not sure. He is a goregous yorkie. You can go on puppyfind.com and search for puppies in your area. Good Luck
