i think it's up to the individual. i do look at the pros and cons though....a tattoo can be seen visually and a micro chip must be scanned. i keep my babies under such close supervision that i havent really thought about this. thanks for keeping me on my toes although i do prefrer the chip, but the tattoo is an option.....but they must be put "under" and that worries me with my toy breed babies...but i do wish i had an identification that could be seen with the naked eye on them, so i am still stuck in the middle you guys...lol
