I truly believe that the "big baby" all depends on the upbringing, just like the "little babies"... my lab was raised INSIDE my home, WITH small dogs. She has never chewed anything and NEVER pottied in my house(unlike the little ones) I find that she has a different personality than most labs because of the way she was raised. She is not wild like most of them and is very "BARKY" for a lab. No one can pull onto my property without her letting me know. I can promise you that it is because she was raised from a baby with the little "yappers" and no one would dare come in my house with that BARK!
She is the sweetest thing with the little ones, and will even lay on the floor for them to climb on her and love her. She is very protective of them, and of us, but yet is the FUNNEST dog ever.... she SMILES all the time and we love her dearly....
If you get your "big baby", as a BABY, and let him grow up with the little ones, I think it really doesnt matter(of the breeds you are considering).... I LOVE the GP but Laci(Lab) loses so much hair, I would have problems with more hair than hers... haha...
Good Luck! I hope you are happy with your choice of babies.... Training is the best way no matter what!
