Ben listened to my story and learned that I am a 37 year old woman living on disability and fighting kidney cancer. As one could imagine I was very depressed. Ben invited me to Encino to get my Beautiful Gigi. While I was there I not only met Gigi's parents but also the new litter awaiting adoption. They have converted what looks like a granny's cottage in the back of their house into a beautiful nursurey. They did not know when I was coming and yet Ben, Gina, their son and a staff person where all there. The kennel/cottage was clean and the dogs were obviously pampered and loved. I saw how they interacted with their dogs and how much love was given to them. And just to set the record straight... Ben and Gina gave me the puppy (Gigi) after several telephone conversations and a face to face with not only me but my husband and daughter too. I was caught up in one of those scams to pay only for the air fare and Star Yorkie Kennel was the only breeder that listened to the human side of Yorkie ownership. My undying gratitude goes out to Ben and Gina for having given a reason to get out of bed and keep living my life to its fullest everyday. |
