I have 2 babies of my own. When I got my babies microchipped, my friend told me that he had his dog micro'ed AND tattooed. I asked him why he felt he had to have that poor animal micro'ed AND tattooed (while AWAKE!!!...oh my god!!) He told me that he worked with a very "prominent" animal hospital and there were so many nicely kept animals that came in from the streets. They had chips, but no information...or...tattoos and no info. He feels that there are "human" mistakes made...or just "wrong information". If you have the option of doing both, do it...if not, you should still do it. My babies have chips, but I am going to put the both of them under next week to get their tattoos. Good Luck!! Heather!
