My SIL has dealt with both ringworm (that was brought into her house) and a yeast infection on the skin. The ringworm took almost a year to get rid of! That was usually in little patches. The yeast or fungus that one of her dogs had, she ended up losing her hair in patches until she was almost bald. The medicine worked but her hair fell out. It grew back, actually it grew back beautifully but it is not an easy and cheap thing to have to deal with especially with a new pup. PM me and I'll give you a way to get in touch with her. She is on here sometimes.
