I posted this on you other thread......sometimes it takes hours for the momma to fully dilate enough to push out a puppy. If she is just having occasional contractions and not pushing real hard then I don't think you have a problem yet. Is this her first litter? It sounds to me like she is not in hard labor yet. Once the puppy is close to coming out then she will be pushing hard and straining every few minutes. Once they get to that stage they usually have one within an hour. |
