This is just IMO. I have had horrible experiences boarding my furbabies at the vet. On weekends my vet only takes the doggies out twice---early in the morning and at 5:00 p.m. They are left to hold it from 5:00 p.m. until the morning.

Now is that reasonable? I think not. The trips outside are the only time there is interaction between humans and doggies. The last time I boarded at a vet my Pommie died. She had congestive heart failure but was doing just great on the meds she was on. From what they told my husband, (I was in MS at my father's funeral) Cassie was stressed, started coughing a great deal (sign of congestive heart failure), and died in 16 hrs. from the time I dropped her off. Didn't increase her meds, didn't give anything to reduce stress, just let her die. It's been two years and I am still upset about the entire deal. I adopted a white rescue Pommie, Snowboy, in honor of my Cassie.
