I run to the living room and she is outside on the porch, which means DH left without even looking to see where the dogs were and she runs outside after him. NO MATTY!! Matty is nowhere to be seen and Kalina is barking over the side of the porch.
It's pitch dark out and I'm shaking like a leaf now because I think Kalina is trying to tell me that tiny Matty fell off the porch and is in the bushes dead of a broken neck or something equally horrible. I start screaming MATTY, MATTY and of course my neighbor hears the screeching and comes running out.
She gets a flashlight and we start looking all around for Matty, nowhere to be seen! Can I tell you that my heart is beating like a drum now?
My neighbor and I put Kalina on a leash and, with flashlight in hand, start walking around the neighborhood calling MATTY and looking for her. I'm scared to even look because I don't want to see her dead in the street.
At this point my husband comes driving down the street with Jana AND MATTY in the car. He took her with him to pick up Jana!! AND HE NEVER TOLD ME!! AND HE DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE KALINA WAS ON THE PORCH. Anyone could have stolen Kalina!!
I am relieved now, but I'm so angry with him. He went to bed, but I keep going up there and going in the bedroom to tell him what an idiot he is!! |
I can't imagine what you were going through, I would have been a mess and probably just started crying when I saw my baby was ok.
I don't know what I would of done to my husband....

I'm sure it would not have been good, but he is as picky about them as I am.

I know we had a scare with Tillie one night she was chewing on one of those rawhide sticks. Her and Tessy loved chewing on them.
I was standing in the kitchen and I heard her kind of choking and I told Bob something is wrong with Till and I picked her up and she had the rawhide stuck in her throat, we did not know what to do. I tried to stick my finger down her throat and get it, I couldn't reach it by this time I was really getting panicked, thank goodness my son was home he heard all the camotion and came in there, I was crying and tild him Till was choking he got his finger down her throat and pushed the rawhide on down.

I just hugged him and started crying. Till was scared to death she stayed on my lap the rest of the evening which was fine with both of us.

We have not gave them anymore rawhide chews.
