Chloe just went from her crate to outdoors, but it takes a lot of consistent training, out every 30 mins or so, but once she went, praise/treats did the trick, with few accidents. Lacey was pad trained when I got her, but frankly, I gave it up because she would miss, or play/tear it up, etc. So, for me it didn't work. I went to the training I did for Chloe and because she would follow Chloe, she was easier to train but I would not say any small dog is easy because they have little bladders and have to be taken out often day and night to start with, so people who aren't retired like I am have a real time of it. It's funny now, Chloe will come get me, low growl or lightly bark and I know she needs to go outside. Lacey just finds me and start walking toward the backdoor, looking back over her shoulder to see if I'm following. If I don't pick up on it, she will still have an accident and she's a year old. I know her look now but my hubby is clueless. |
