Default Surprise! New puppy and Scout is NOT HAPPY!

Well, I went and did it. I found this precious boy...and I wasn't going to get another one, but fell in love with this "big" fella. This is Ranger. He's 12 weeks old, weighs about 2 or 3 pounds I think...he's already as big as Pippa and will likely be much bigger than Scout and I'm thrilled with him. He has floppy ears-which I adore, but they probably will stand up in time (I kinda hope not). The only problem is SCOUT...he's acting out. He growls at the baby and is being downright mean. I know it will probably take some adjustment, but we are not letting him near the puppy right now because he went after him once last night. We are correcting him as soon as we see the body language (tail up, stiffens) and making him go to his spot...also blocking him from the baby. And we are trying to catch him being good (only happened a few times that he passed by the puppy without growling or actin' all big). Anyone else have any advice about your dog being aggressive to a new puppy??

Here's pics of RANGER!
