Hootie and Hobbs are 3.5 and 4lbs respectively. I need to get them on a flea preventative for the summer months but I don't know what to use! I am not comfortable with the Frontline because the lowest dose they have is for dogs 1-25lbs. This seems like SOOOOOO much medicine for my tee tinies. And one time last summer I put it on Hobbs and he scratched the area on his back so much that it got really red and raw. I don't know if it irritated his back or he just didn't like the wet feeling. I haven't had to use flea medication again until a few weeks ago. So, I decided to try the Comfortis (new oral flea preventative) because it is for dogs 1-10lbs and I felt like they were getting less medicine with that than with the Frontline. But Hootie is still scratching, which makes me think it isn't working. UGH! So, for those of you with itty bitty yorkies, what flea preventative do you use???
