YorkiRose, although Toto is purebred, we opted to sign an agreement not to show or breed. We weren't looking for a show dog when we bought Toto, just got lucky!!
We also weren't at all interested in having puppies in a bzillion years so that part was easy! We wanted a female because that was just a personal preference. We are interested in agility training for her purely for exercise. We have discussed it with our vet who is in favor of this type training but she says absolutely nothing high up.
We had a great personal trainer while we were in Lake Charles, LA who came to the house and worked with her. So far we haven't found anyone to our liking here but will keep looking. We, like Mary Ellen, really enjoy the dog shows but just wasn't interested in participating!
