These little guys are just like our children, and I think one of the issues is the size. My own daughters both weighed about what my Yorkie does at birth. I can't imagine sending one of my newborns outside to potty or take a walk.
These little guys are so helpless, even though they seem so mighty. Mine is sick today, vomiting and diarrhea.
