We hired a behaviorist vet to help with a problem once. It was worth the money to get the insight into the cause of the problem. Seems to be better now.
I find that when Coco goes into "protect" mode if I pick her up she seems to settle and let me handle the other dog that is making her nervous. Just a suggestion.
