Fatty tumors are fairly common in large breed dogs. Baylee had had two others removed.
This time he found another tumor under the fatty tumor and it was cancer. It was just behind her front leg/shoulder. He also said he could see lots of other cancer in her.
We had no idea she had it. She never seemed in pain, didn't limp or act different in any way. This was a total shock. He said it really was best to just not let her wake up. There was nothing that could be done. All that would have happened is we would have sat back and waited till it got bad enough that she was suffering and then put her down. I could not do that to her. |
