Good for you. Sounds like you're smarter than me and going to a better obedience school.

It's interesting that they said you could use a head harness, or "gentle leader." I had never heard of them until recently, but I think that's the way to go for dogs that have a problem pulling. They are a little risky, and I agree you're smart to avoid them if you can, but I've seen good results from them. I started using one on my Lab, and he's a different dog on leash. He used to pull until he was hoarse, and now he walks nicely on a loose leash. I'm real careful not to jerk him, though.
