(although I add veggies & cottage cheese in with the kibble)

How do I make a switch to NV? Abby is 12 weeks old, should she stay on a puppy food? I want to do what's best for them. HELP!
Many breeders that feed raw will wean puppies and kittens straight to raw. They say it is easier than weaning to kibble. My cat's breeder weans her kittens to raw. Nature's Variety raw meets the criteria for both puppy and adult foods so it is perfectly fine for puppies.

What I would do is get her home and continue what the breeder has her on until she is well-adjusted to your home and eating well (a couple weeks probably) and then switch.

I would just switch cold turkey. That's what most do with no problems. Some will be more sensitive though and might have some tummy upsets at first. Have some canned pumpkin on hand in case of diarrhea or constipation.
