Of course I'm fearful and concerned! Boy, what a sh*t I would be if I were not. My mom is my immediate family -- and I am hers. That's it. While there are a few assorted cousins, and we're both blessed with friends that are often better than family, there isn't anyone else.
And this is my mom. My mom who pretty much raised me on her own when she could easily gone off and just did what she wanted to like my dad did.

Are you serious?! That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. What kind of person wouldn't be worried about their mom? Please don't let ignorant comments stress you.
I am really, really wishing for the best for your mom; I can't imagine how scary this is for you both.
