Yes that can be true, but not if you have their crate properly secured and strapped in. We alway's have Jeter's crate secure in our van before we take him out and about.
I am not saying that it is wrong to have a safety seat for your pet in any way.I think it is great that people want to keep their pet's safe
I chose the crate because we did research car safety gear for dogs months before we even got Jeter and we found more information on crates being the safest way to travel.
