If you can, try outside training with a harness and long retractable leash. Your Yorkie may really want to go outdoors in the yard. It may take many many trips outside, but this time of year should be OK. I also would recommend training as if this were a pup, that means after meals, after naps, every hour, etc., Lots of good luck. You'll get plenty of exercise if you are home to do this. If not, and X-pen may do the trick until you are able to go outside with your dog. |
